Remember when your 6th-grade math teacher tried to convince you that you’d absolutely need math “in the real world”? And that when you did, you certainly wouldn’t be using a calculator?

You’re probably never going to need to figure out how many watermelons Linda brought from the market if she bought 500 and gave 21 away to Bernard, but you might want to know what the cheapest pizza is per inch. (If one slice has a 6-inch edge and a 45-degree angle, and the other slice has a 7inch edge and a 20-degree angle, which should you buy? Pizza math is the only math I care about).
