TV weddings are always a good source of inspiration, especially when you perfectly identify with one of the characters. We all have a TV show alter ego somewhere on our binge watching list. It might be someone you see as super similar to you, or someone you look up to and you wish you could be seen as. It might also be someone you identify with, but you’d rather not.
So when it comes to your big day, who’s the one character who would totally rock your style? Are you more of a casual commitment on a Post It (Meredith Grey style), an Edward and Bella (Twilight wedding set in a fairy tale story), or maybe you want to go all out, Game of Thrones Red Wedding style (without the *spoiler alert* dying part of course – although, let’s face it, if that was a spoiler, you’re clearly not a fan).
Let’s see what’s in store for you based on your style.
When you think of your wedding invitations, what’s the first thing that comes to mind?
- I want save the date cards, hand calligraphed invites, lace, soft white.
- Something sweet and classy.
- E-vite will do just fine. No need to waste paper.
- No need for invites. It’s gonna be just family.
Let’s talk bachelorette party. Which best describes your ideal?
- Pulling all the stops. Strippers, limo, shows, bottle service, good food, partying it all out.
- A dinner or some activity all my friends would enjoy.
- I don’t see a need for a bachelorette party.
- Camping in the woods, telling stories around a fire.
What do you want more than anything for your big day?
- Have fun with the love of my life and all the people close to us.
- I want it to be perfect. Perfect flowers, perfect dress, make-up, photos. Everything.
- I just want my partner to be happy.
- I want it to be the biggest event of the year for all our guests.
How much money would you spend on your wedding?
- I’m ready to take out a loan for my dream wedding.
- About 1 to 3 months worth of our income.
- All the savings I have and not a penny more.
- Money doesn’t matter. I’m marrying the person of my dreams so I want the wedding of my dreams
Will your have a theme? Wedding colors?
- I have to pick a theme? Like a costume party or something?
- I picked the colors, flowers, theme and location before I even met my partner.
- Something out of the ordinary like vintage or steampunk.
- I’d rather spend the money on something else, like the honeymoon.
Do you have an ideal wedding ceremony location?
Where do you envision your honeymoon?
Would you take your spouse’s name?
- I’d consider it.
- No, my name is my identity.
- I’d want to hyphenate it so we can both have a new identity.
- Of course I’m taking my spouse’s name.
Let’s talk about your vows.
- We will be writing our own vows.
- Standard vows, just repeating after the officiant.
- Quotes from famous people about love and commitment.
- Something elaborate that reflects on our life together.
Who's invited to your wedding?
- Just close family and a couple of friends.
- Everyone I know from extended family, people I grew up with to coworkers and neighbors.
- Family, friends and everyone who is important in our lives.
- Apart from family and friends, I’m inviting everyone who owes me because I’ve been to their wedding and got them a gift.
What's on your gift registry?
- Lots of household items so we start our life together with all new things.
- There is no registry. We’re asking people to contribute to a honeymoon fund.
- All the expensive things that I wouldn’t buy for myself.
- We’re asking guests to give us a gift from their hearts that will forever connect us with them.
Lastly, how would you like your guests to be dressed?
- Black tie for sure. I expect the ladies to be wearing elegant gowns and the men to be wearing tuxedos. I want my wedding to look like the Met Gala or Oscars Red Carpet.
- Whatever people feel comfortable in. They can come in jeans and a t-shirt for all I care.
- I expect guests to dress up, but no need to go overboard. Festive attire would be nice.
- The attire would be formal for sure. Dark suits for the men and elegant dresses for the ladies.
Last question - how would you rate this quiz?
- I loved it!
- It was pretty okay.
- Not great…
