The time of the woman superhero is here. Historically, the superhero genre has been dominated by men and the movies that were created to bring these legends to the full screen? They nearly always centered on dudes. We’ve got Thor, Batman, Superman, Captain America, Iron Man, and Hulk.

But if you take a look at the cast of characters on our superhero screens these days, it looks a little bit different. Black Widow was one of the first female heroes to break onscreen, but the ranks of women in superhero movies have definitely swelled.
